Today’s reading: 1 Timothy 1:3-4
Over the past several months, God has been impressing on my heart even more than normal the responsibility each of us has to deliver His message of love and salvation to the world around us. With all the things going on in our world and the general busyness of life, I believe we can easily lose sight of the privilege we have of being stewards for God—right where He has placed us. So as I read 1 Timothy 1 this morning, intending to move on to verses 12-20, my focus was once again drawn to verses 3-4 and these words to Timothy:
“Remain at Ephesus so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine, nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith” (emphasis mine).
Once we place our faith in Christ, God wants, expects, and charges us to tell and teach others about His great love and salvation through placing their faith in Jesus. Let’s do this!
Who can or will you tell about Jesus today? Will you join me in changing lives, one person at a time? Tami
