Today’s reading: 1 Timothy 6:17-21
As we come to the close of 1 Timothy, Paul specifically addresses the issue of Christ-followers who are “rich” because they have earthly wealth and possessions. A specific caution is given for this group to resist the pull of money, paired with the directive to keep their focus on God and doing good in order to store up heavenly treasures and “take hold of that which is truly life” (vs. 19).
