Today’s reading: Proverbs 11:1; Proverbs 16:11; Proverbs 20:10; Psalm 112:5
Included in Paul’s Philippians 4:8 list of good things on which to focus, he tells us to think about “whatever is just.” If you look up the word “just” in a dictionary or thesaurus, a couple of the words you’ll see are fair and accurate. God’s model is one of being fair and just, and He delights in us when we choose to follow His example.
“It is well with the man who deals generously and lends, who conducts his affairs with justice” (Psalm 112:5).
Based on today’s verses, how important is thinking about being just (fair and accurate) and then acting justly to God? What encouragement do you draw from knowing that God delights in fairness, and shows favor to those whose lives demonstrate a standard of being just and fair?
