Today’s reading: Psalm 48:1-14
Psalm 48 is a song recognizing and celebrating Jerusalem, or Zion, as God’s chosen, special and holy city. What I saw I as progressed verse by verse through this psalm was a depiction of a mighty city, but more importantly a city chosen by a loving God committed to protecting and defending His people. I love the proclamation of the final verse that God is “forever and ever” and “will guide us forever” (vs. 14).
How has God been your protector and defender? What encouragement do you draw from verse 14 and the proclamation that God is forever and will guide us forever? Tami
