Today’s reading: 2 Timothy 2:20-21; Psalm 51:10-13
Rather than finishing out the remainder of chapter 2, I decided to focus on only two verses today because of the way I was drawn to Paul’s words about being an honorable vessel. I must have read this passage five or more times, and each time I got a little more excited and motivated. My thoughts were, I want to be that honorable vessel! I want to be used by God! I want to be ready for every good work He has for me!
When I finished reading, I sent up a prayer to God asking Him to help me be an honorable vessel and letting Him know that I am ready for Him to use me today.
“Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work” (vs. 21).
What encouragement did you draw from this short passage? Is it your desire to be set apart for God, useful to God, and ready for every good work He has for you? Tami
