Today’s reading: Psalm 135:1-21
Psalm 135 is a song of praise to the one and only sovereign God. What I particularly like about this song is the contrast the psalmist provides between the gods of the world–man-made gods who do not speak, hear, see or breathe–and our God, who is living and active and makes the clouds rise, makes lightning for the rains, brings forth the wind and who watches over, provides for and moves on behalf of His children.
What’s one thing you learned or noticed about God from this psalm? How does the message of this psalm, and particularly the words of verse 5, encourage and motivate you to praise God today? Tami
