Today’s reading: Luke 1:26-56
With Christmas just a couple days away, we’re going to read through the primary passages of the Christmas story today through Christmas Eve on Sunday. The Bible is rich with details about Jesus coming to earth. But because we’re so familiar with the basic storyline, we can overlook those wonderful details if we’re not intentional about reading this miraculous storyline. We can learn so much from this love story when we sift through the passage with an inquisitive eye on the details.
Today our focus is on Mary. Read through Luke 1:26-56 once and then go back and read it again. But the second time, be intentional to read slowly. Look specifically for pieces of information to help you get an even fuller understanding of this miracle.
