Today’s reading: James 1:1-4
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds . . .” (vs. 2).
A well-known verse, James 1:2 certainly delivers a punch. These thirteen words let us know that difficulties, hardship, challenges and struggles will be part of our lives as we live for Christ. But rather than dreading or trying to run from these trying times, our best course of action is to seize or embrace them–knowing that God will use each trial we encounter to grow and strengthen us.
