Today’s reading: Ephesians 5:22-33
Paul’s instruction concerning marriage in Ephesians 5, particularly the charge for wives to submit to their husbands, can spark a bit of controversy. But when Ephesians 5:22-33 is read and considered as a whole, what we see is the description of a properly functioning marital relationship. It’s a picture of teamwork and partnership between two very different people coming together in love and supporting one another.
