Today’s reading: 1 Kings 8:1-26
Upon the completion of the temple, Solomon gathers together a vast assembly–elders, priests, heads of tribes and family leaders. It was a monumental event designed FOR God to publically recognize and elevate Him for being the one and only sovereign God. Solomon led and directed the day, which included guiding the people in a time of remembering God’s goodness, faithfulness and love, and reaffirming their commitment to wholeheartedly follow after Him.
